is it weird that i’m naturally skeptical of conservatives being this rational? to a certain extent, that might just be an internal indicator of the divisive nature of the presidential campaign. i hope there are people out there who look at the big picture and long term when they get into that voting booth. enjoy…
and wouldn’t you know it, two minutes later, i stumble on this little gem.
yes. release yourself of all responsibility and give it up to your imaginary friend who’s going to fix everything in the world and fill your bank account. *thumbs up* never underestimate the power of ignorance and self delusion.
this clip hearkens back to the time Obama spoke in Berlin and was met by one the largest crowd of his campaign (save for the DNC maybe?). for the first time in a long time not only was an American cheered by foreigners, but the American flags being waved were not on fire, but were held high in admiration of what the individual speaking before the crowd represented. the rest of the world gets it. just wonder when the rest of America will.
and for nostalgia, here’s Obama’s speech in Berlin:
so it’s been roughly six years since i last blogged. not sure if that’s a good or bad thing, but i suppose getting back into it couldn’t hurt, right? i mean who goes on the internet. just got wordpress up and running (what a great interface btw). thanks to the guy(s) @ WarSpire for the Hemingway theme.
in other news, i’m really stoked about what’s been going on with BullSpot & GirlGamer. last weekend mike and i attended MashMeet LA 2.0. there were some good keynotes, but the majority of our time was spent getting acquainted with the heavy hitters in the L.A. tech scene. from what we’ve heard, things have been rather slow here for the past couple years in terms of the general community activity as well as SV interest, but that seems to be turning around. met hotshots like Pete Cashmore from Mashable and Robert Scoble of Scobleizer.
double booked myself this saturday for my mom’s birthday dinner and john day’s birthday party. being available at both for as long as i need to be is gonna be a carefully orchestrated clusterfuck if i do say so myself.
